Hello, I’m Shay Hillel – a father, a real estate entrepreneur and an architecture aficionado.
As young as 5 years old, I always wanted to be a builder, because they build stuff from nothing. And while I didn’t become a builder in the literal sense, the intrinsic desire to make things grow, whether that be a business or an individual’s career, is still very much alive. In fact, this, combined with a desire to take risk and to push things where they’ve never been before, is what fuels me.
As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned how to build a culture with strong core values, prioritize the customer value proposition, build great teams and empower them to move fast to get stuff done. Because of this, I’m passionate about helping other founders use these and other approaches to help them make sense of the startup world, because I know from experience it can be difficult to navigate.
I like to write about things that are top of mind, and lessons I’ve learned that other founders would benefit from hearing, ranging from leadership and culture, to funding and scaling, and how companies both large and small can benefit from a startup mindset.
I hope you enjoy my blog!
